08 Sep 2021 – Yesterday Bitcoin became legal tender in El Salvador and Panama introduced legislation to also regulate the industry there. The government has by law, proclaimed that all businesses must accept Bitcoin if offered, parallel the US$ can still be used, but the customer makes the decision. This means that all foreign companies, even those from the USA, are required as of yesterday to accept bitcoin.
I just watched a video of a reporter ordering his meal at an El Salvador McDonalds, not expecting to be able to pay in Bitoin, but surprisingly, the lightning network created a QR code and he paid in seconds and received his meal.
Another great day in the history of Bitcoin, when will the other countries make it legal? In most countries you an already pay in Bitcoin in many places, Bitcoin ATM’s are rapidly increasing every day. Ten years from now, when Bitcoin is in the million sphere (compared to todays standards, as in 10 years there will be no dollar or euro), those who believed shall be rewarded.
