Some mo’ pics and some mo’ infos

This is what the ditches will look like when all is finished, makes my wife very happy, she hates the gravel.  Dark mesh material covers the soil keeping out the sun so no weeds grow, then gravel, then finish it with the wood chips. The chips were made from my own trees, have plenty of cuttings every year.

Finally got a decent pool cover, was given to me by António, who rescued it from going to the trash at one of his jobs; I cut it down to size and just need to connect it to the roller, will get it done when I clean the pool soon.  Have to empty the pool and scrub it with some acid solution and refill it, do it every 2 years. Glad I have a borehole!

Also made another high-rise beet, with a strawberry patch; the snails here are terrible and we don’t use any pesticides and this solved the problem, just made it out of some scrap wood.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but right now I am living alone, Andrea went to Germany end of March to help Hagen with his new apartment and is kind of stuck there and can’t return until May sometime, at the earliest.  I guess Christopher won’t be coming either, or JoAnn or Ronja, so it may get kind of boring around here. At least I have plenty of work to do and keep busy, still play a little guitar and harmonica (started a while back, but ain’t no good yet) to keep busy. I no longer work for Nihon Kohden, the contract was canceled 1 January and I am now totally unemployed and full 100% retiree for the first time (maybe Marcus will get my old job there; insiders understand).  It is kind of weird not having to check on databases and software programs every day, but after 3 months I barely miss it anymore, other things start to take more priority.  However, I am learning Python on the side, just to keep in touch with some of the new programming software. It is very easy to learn, I have to figure out some project now to use the knowledge, I am thinking of using it to access the Bitcoin blockchain and do some analysis of who has how many bitcoins and where do they go to, etc., interests me immensely.  Bitcoin data analysis is currently in high demand, mainly to follow the trail of stolen coins.  Have also helped many people buy Bitcoin and setup a wallet, seems not to be many people around here who can do that, they are surprised how easy it is after showing them. Besides that I help a few people with their PC’s, buying new ones or updating or fixing issues, whatever may come up. So keeping busy at my young age!
