In August/September we had some wild fires not far from here, the Monchique hills are not far away and the fires spread very fast, it was over 100 degrees for 4 straight weeks. Over 1400 firemen, with equipment and planes fought here.
The pic above is just the air surrounding our property, the black dots are ashes flying through the air.
As you can see, we had lots of smoke in the air for about 2-3 days, it stopped and about 3 days later it started back up again but was stopped after 1 day.
